Who is the Neurology Special Interest Group (NSIG) and what do they do?
The Neurology group is a dynamic and pro-active special interest group concerned with all aspects of physiotherapy related to the needs of neurologically impaired adults and their relatives and carers. The Neurology Group is spearheaded by a committee of enthusiastic volunteers who all work in the field of physiotherapy and neurology, either as clinician’s, in education or research. The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is made up of representatives from across New Zealand. Committee members give their time to review information from the NZSP; organise the biannual conference, courses and answer day-to-day queries of a neurological nature. Information is disseminated through our newsletter and by email. Currently there are over 200 members nationally.
Membership
Any NZ registered physiotherapist with a special interest in neurology, who is also a member of the NZSP is eligible to join. The current membership includes physiotherapists working in clinical roles, education and research.
